Gum Drops

These are so easy! Mix it up by switching out different shapes and colors for different holidays and events. Grab the ingredients at the store and make them right away!

1 cup sugar

1 envelope unflavored gelatin

3/4 cup unsweetened applesauce

1 tsp lemon juice

1- 3oz package of Jell-O

1 cup sugar for coating

Add 1 cup sugar, gelatin, unsweetened applesauce, lemon juice, and package of Jell-O to a saucepan. Bring to boil over medium high heat. Stir for continuously while it boils for one minute.

Pour into mold of choice or Deep Flexiflat to cut into shapes later.

Cool for 2-3 hours.

In another Deep Flexiflat or jelly roll pan, add 1 cup sugar. Unmold gum drops onto sugar. Use cookie cutters to cut into shapes, if desired.

Let sit on Perforated Baking Sheet lined with Bonmat overnight to dry.

In the morning, roll gum drops in sugar to coat.
