Beer Bread

Beer Bread is quick and tasty. Once my family tasted it, my twenty year old son asked me to teach him the recipe. That’s a win in my book- teaching the kids how to cook and bake so they know when they are on their own- priceless.

This makes a hearty bread and is great in one of our bon molds… or be wild and crazy and make it in a muffin tray.

3 cups flour

1/4 cup sugar

3 tsp baking powder (omit if using self rising flour)

1 tsp salt (omit if using self rising flour)

12 oz beer

1 stick butter (or half stick)

Preheat oven to 375F. In a bowl, mix dry ingredients together.* Add beer and stir with wooden spoon or one of our set of three spatulas. Pour into your mold or tray and add melted butter over the top. (Pictured is the Spiral bon mold.) Bake for 40 minutes and check. Let cool for 10 minutes, slice and enjoy!

*Make sure to measure your flour by scooping flour into measuring cup and leveling off.

Optional add ins- rosemary, parsley, dill, garlic, onion, cheese, sun dried tomaotes, jalapenos, etc.

If using non alcoholic beverage, use a packet of dry active yeast.
